Syrinx Shell - Australian Trumpet Sea Shells - The largest known univalve sea shells, the Syrinx is a predatory gastropod. This seashell is common to the shallow waters of North Australia in inter-tidal waters to 10 meters. As a juvenile, its shell has a cylindrical outline. Its shape is spiral with fairly marked ridges. An excellent specimen for both admiring collector and interior designer.
